Student-curators selected works from the Museum’s collections, ranging from mid-19th century wedding dresses to a Qing Dynasty military jacket and a 1920s flapper dress. They will present their research on these items during UVM Research week on Wednesday, April 15, from 11am - 2pm in the Fleming’s Learning Studio.

Curated by CATS: Fashion's Empires will be on view during regular visiting hours. UVM’s Fleming Museum of Art is free and open to all. No admission or reservation is required for entry or events. For more information visit uvm.edu/fleming.

Any UVM student can submit work they've made in the past year to any of our six categories: Drama, Horror, Comedy, Documentary, Animation, and Experimental. A panel of judges will decide the winners of each category, and the top films will be screened on May 6th in Flemming 101 at 6 pm. Prizes will include a subscription to the Criterion Closet or membership in Partizanfilm's Coop.
