UVM Larner Med EIGHTH Annual Community Clothing Swap
About this Event
The Office of Medical Education and the Larner Medical Student Council is co-hosting the SEVENTH Annual Larner College of Medicine Community Clothing Swap! As you flip your closets for fall and spring, please consider setting aside your clothes to donate to this event. I know I’ve been collecting since last year’s swap and have a few choice items I’m excited to get out to our community.Clothing drop-off will be on Monday, April 21, 8am through the end of the swap (12pm, 4/23), in MedEd300. Items you are tired of, but please no tired items! We try to keep this a new/like new swap. Please sort/display your clothing if you have the time. We usually sort them around the room (by table) as tops, bottoms, one-piece, shoes, jewelry, other… * TOTES Donations Welcome, too: If you want to unload that nutty accumulation of totes, we love to have a pile of these by the door for environmentally friendly shopping – inviting folks to help themselves to a tote and feel free to fill it with clothes.Clothing Swap: Tuesday, April 22, 8am, through noon, Wednesday, April 23, in MedEd300. We will have some temporary changing rooms set up using our mobile wall dividers should folks wish to try on any of the items. SO. MANY. CLOTHES. And we have items for folks of all shapes, sizes, and styles. ❤Event Notes: * You do not need to donate items to participate. The swap is welcome open to everyone in the community! * We encourage everyone to bring a reusable bag and go nuts – take whatever you like! All leftovers will be donated to The Possibility Shop, in Burlington, VT.We request a suggested minimum donation of $5 for anyone who “scores” one or more items during the swap. All proceeds are donated to Camp Kesem, a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. All leftover clothing at the conclusion of the swap will also be donated to the Possibility Shop. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think would enjoy/appreciate this event, and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.Kind regards,KierstenAdditional Event Support/Other Contacts: Colleen Case & Paula Tracy___________________________________________Kiersten Tavares, M.Ed.
