The UVM Horse Barn–just a few minutes’ walk from Gutterson Garage–is hosting our annual Dressage Schooling Show on Saturday, April 11th starting at 9 am. This event is open to the public and is completely free to attend as a spectator. The main event is focused on ridden competition, and throughout the day both UVM students and local riders will be showcasing their skills with their horses in the outdoor arena behind the barn. Some bleacher seating is available to watch the show, but spectators are welcome to bring chairs.

This is a fundraising event that helps keep UVM’s Horse Barn and Dressage Team running, so there are opportunities to donate including a bake sale, tack sale, and more. Food will be available through onsite vendors, and some small crafting and other activities will be set up. Parking for the event will be open both in the lot at the Horse Barn and at Gutterson Garage on campus.

For those interested in entering the Schooling Show with their own horse, more information and entry forms can be found on the UVM Dressage Instagram and Facebook. We are offering both ridden and in-hand tests, as well as Western dressage and working equitation in addition to English dressage.

Come watch the competition, peruse the vendors and bake/tack sales, and help support our UVM horses!
