"Uncertain Identity in a Time of War: Ukrainian Migrant Laborers in Czechia" J. Dickinson, (Anthropology)

In this presentation, Dr. J. Dickinson explores the meaning of borders in wartime, ​focusing on interviews with residents of a single Ukrainian village living abroad in Czechia, and their relatives remaining behind in Ukraine. In particular, the talk explores the experience of movement across borders, migration as a framework for personal narratives, and the meaning of home in times of radical uncertainty.
