Public Talk:     Teacher, Mentor, Ghost | November 13, 5-6:30PM

                                    Speakers: Kat Clear, Gerrit Golner, and Bob Wickenden

To foster a dialogue between current faculty members and former faculty and students connected to Professor Davison, a public panel discussion will be held on November 13, 2024. Panel guest speakers Kat Clear, Gerrit Golner, and Bob Wickenden are UVM grads and former students who studied printmaking with Professor Bill Davison at different times during his four decades of teaching studio art at UVM.

Kathleen Schneider will act as moderator of the discussion, addressing the unpredictable and lifelong effects of a liberal arts education (studio art/art history major) on the trajectory of a life. Here, three individuals will speak of the multiple worlds they’ve occupied since leaving UVM. The paths taken, after being in the world long enough to look back, are unique, unexpected, and rich in the range of encounters that inform who they are today.
