About this Event
590 Main Street, Burlington, VT 05405
Making time for lunch isn’t always easy. Taking a break to re-fuel can be even more challenging for people recovering from eating disorders or disordered eating. If you can relate, join our supportive lunch space to enjoy your meal in a recovery-focused community.
Our lunches happen twice per month are led by Mollie Gribbin, CMPC, Micaela Young NBC-HWC, and Amy Sercel, RD. We’ll begin with a brief check-in where you’ll also have the chance to set an intention for your meal. The first week of the month, the conversation is focused on building connection, talking about the semester, and life in general. The third week of the month, people will have the opportunity to talk about their experiences with recovery on campus and get support from one another. This week's lunch will focus on conversation and connection.
The group is intended to provide a safe space for those in recovery from eating disorders/disordered eating, and as such diet talk will not be permitted. We ask each participant to bring a full meal for yourself, which includes a source of foods from each food group.
Drop-ins are welcome! If you have any questions, please email Amy at asercel@uvm.edu, Mollie at mollie.gribbin@uvm.edu, or Micaela at Micaela.young@uvm.edu.
