Passion, labor, and grit abound in this striking portrait series from photographer JuanCarlos González. Whether capturing moments of intense concentration or joyous pride, the 45 works are an intimate look at the daily life and livelihoods of the women whose hands shape farming in Vermont.

From a photograph of a snowflake to a photogravure Naga with gold leaf, works tracing the history and growth of the Fleming’s Collections invite you to consider how artists engage with the natural world, how collections shape knowledge, and how art offers diverse perspectives on our living world.
BELONGING | A NEW COLLECTIONS GALLERY

How, where, and with whom do we belong? Curated from new acquisitions and selections from the Fleming’s Collections, a grouping of 11 vessels from ceramist Toshiko Takaezu, an interactive installation, and more, now welcome you to this reimagined space.
Parking information
Complimentary parking for our Open House Reception event will be provided starting at 4:30pm in UVM's Votey lot, directly west of the Museum. Locate the Votey lot on the campus map as well as our Museum Visitor Lot.
