The challenges in addressing the Israeli readers and viewers to tell a Palestinian story.

Sayed Kashua, a Professor at Emerson College, is a screenwriter, novelist, and essayist. He is the author of four novels, including, most recently, Track Changes (Grove/Atlantic Press, 2021) and one collection of essays translated into multiple languages.  

Kashua received the Israeli Film and TV Academy awards for best screenplay four times. He is the creator and writer of the TV shows Arab Labor (Keshet TV, 2007-2013), The Writer (KAN and Keshet TV, 2015), and Madrasa (KAN, 2023). He wrote the script for the film A Borrowed Identity (Dir. Eran Riklis, 2014) and was the script consultant and story editor of the second and third seasons of the TV drama Shtisel (Netflix, YES, 2015 and 2020).

Recently he developed TV pilots for HBO, Sony, and Keshet International.
