This 50-minute interactive workshop is designed to help students move beyond simply reading for completion and instead engage with texts in ways that improve comprehension, retention, and application. The session includes an introduction to what it means to read critically, demonstrations of two key strategies (annotation and the SQ3R method), and an application activity where students practice these methods with real reading materials. By the end, students will leave with concrete tools for identifying important information in a text and processing it effectively.
