Gund Coffee Talk

Join the Gund Institute for Environment community for a warm beverage while Jessica Balerna, a postdoctoral researcher with UVM's Climate Measurements Center, discuss their research. Coffee and tea starts flowing at 10 a.m. The talk will begin at 10:15 a.m.

About the talk: Jessica Balerna presents a toolkit for conducting a Subnational Climate Assessment (SCA) from start to finish, including: identifying a target audience, engaging stakeholders, recruiting authors, and conducting robust chapter reviews. We pull from multiple case studies, including the latest Vermont Climate Assessment, highlighting the diversity of current SCAs and gaps in availability of process information.

About the speaker: Jessica Balerna has a PhD from the University of South Florida and is a post-doc with the Climate Measurements Center. She often combines natural and social science methods in her research.
