Post-Holocaust Christian Memory: Layers of Meaning since 1945 ft. Victoria Barnett
About this Event
85 S Prospect St, Burlington, VT 05401
How (and why) do Christians remember the Holocaust? This presentation will trace how Christian memory culture has changed since 1945, moving from "redemptive memory" to statements of guilt, theological changes, and the Shoah's impact on interreligious dialogue in recent decades. The lecture will conclude with some reflections on Holocaust education and memory in our own times.
