DESCRIPTION:The Pisacano Leadership Foundation (PLF) is pleased to announce
  that the application for the 2025 Pisacano Scholars Leadership program is
  now available online at www.pisacano.org.The PLF seeks to advance family 
 medicine by providing well-educated\, community-minded leaders in primary 
 care. By aiding students who demonstrate the highest levels of commitment 
 to family medicine\, leadership qualities\, academic performance\, includi
 ng evidence of clinical excellence and application of knowledge to clinica
 l care\, communication skills\, and service\, the PLF will promote the dev
 elopment of the future leaders in the specialty.The Pisacano Scholars Lead
 ership program is designed to provide educational programs\, leadership tr
 aining\, and funding to reduce the growing burden of educational debt. Sch
 olars are expected to attend annual leadership skills development symposia
  organized by PLF each year. Scholarships will be awarded to outstanding m
 edical students for a four-year period. Students who have made a commitmen
 t to the field of family medicine and who will enter their fourth year in 
 medical school in the fall of 2025 may apply. The PLF will award up to 10 
 scholarships with a maximum value of $28\,000 each for the 2025-2026 acade
 mic year.Applications must be received by May 1\, 2025\, to be considered.
