NOTE: After careful consultation with local officials, the National Weather Service, meteorologists, and event partners, the decision has been made to postpone the 2026 Penguin Plunge from February 7 to Saturday, March 14.

The Cool Schools Penguin Plunge brings students, teachers, and campus communities together to support Special Olympics Vermont. Participants take a chilly dip in Lake Champlain while raising funds that help provide year round sports opportunities for athletes across the state.

• Plunge with your friends or a student club

• Join the UVM Cool Cats team, already gearing up for this year’s event
