OLLI AT UVM PRESENTS

In this online program, visit two places where the hardiest people have settled and survived: Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula and Churchill, Manitoba, on the shores of Hudson Bay. Both can be a bit daunting, but there are ways to visit and explore without danger – and both destinations reward visitors with astonishing beauty very different from what we see home in Vermont. Learn about the history and geology of these two far-flung locations, and get practical tips on driving and lodging. Enjoy plenty of photos and insider information, all from the comfort of your home.  Suggested Reading: Winston of Churchill is a delightful book written for children but with a message for everyone. I Wish I Had a Polar Bear covers the same topics but is aimed more at adults.
