What Responsibility Do Basic Science Educators Have for the Professional Identity Formation of Physicians?

In 2024, Lindsley and colleagues published a critical scoping review about the role of basic science education in the development of medical learners’ professional identities. The findings from this review will be used as a lens to consider opportunities for and responsibilities of basic science educators in this process.
