This very special one time event will feature the debut of Ray Vega and his Concert Orchestra. This all Vermont big band will present a musical tribute to many legendary figures who have been credited in the development Afro Caribbean Jazz. Included in the program will be works by Tito Puente, Chico O’Farrill, Dizzy Gillespie, Machito, Mongo Santamaria and Ray Barretto among others. This concert will mark the first time that an all pro Afro Caribbean Jazz big band will grace the stage of the UVM Recital Hall.
