This session explores how global social movements connect to local challenges in Vermont. Drawing on insights from the Nyeleni Global Forum on Food Sovereignty in Sri Lanka, participants will learn how grassroots communities worldwide set collective political agendas for building a just and equitable food system beyond capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, racism, and fascism. Representatives from the People’s Agroecology School of Vermont will share strategies for keeping Vermont communities engaged in this global process of transformative change.
