DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a panel with three UVM alums who have built 
 careers working in international affairs. \n\nTogether\, our panelists hav
 e experience working for the State Department\, the US Agency for Internat
 ional Development\, global consulting firms\, and development organization
 s.  We will learn about their work\, how they started their careers\, and 
 hear about advice for students interested in working internationally.\n\n
 🍕PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED!🍕\n\nAlex Auman (she/her) (UVM '09) is a For
 eign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State\, representing the 
 American people and the U.S. government abroad as a professional diplomat.
  \nShe has served the United States in Iraq\, Morocco\, Kyrgyzstan\, and H
 ungary. Alex graduated from UVM with a BA in 2009 with majors in Political
  Science and History\, and has a MA in International Security from the Uni
 versity of Denver. \n\nKellen McClure (UVM '08)serves as an anti-corruptio
 n advisor for the Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics 
 and Law Enforcement Affairs\, where he coordinates U.S. policy on  multila
 teral anti-corruption issues. \nHe manages U.S. engagement in the anti-cor
 ruption working groups in the G7\, G20\, and United Nations and serves as 
 the lead U.S. expert in the Organization of American States' anti-corrupti
 on review body.  Prior to working at the State Department\, Kellen worked 
 on Africa policy and programming at Freedom House.  \n\nMaddie Tagatac (UV
 M '21) is a contractor with USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BH
 A) in the Office of the Middle East\, North Africa\, and Europe (MENAE) su
 pporting the office's disaster response operations and management systems.
 \nThey have supported several of the Bureau's leading priority humanitaria
 n responses such as the Ukraine\, Yemen\, and Gaza complex emergencies\, i
 ncluding a recent overseas assignment to Amman\, Jordan to provide operati
 onal support to our field-based teams in the region. \n\nThis Event is spo
 nsored by the Department of Political Science in cooperation with UVM Glob
 al and Regional Studies and The Political Science Club.
