David McGuire currently serves as the Director of Access and Country Engagement for the Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the UK. Since graduating from the University of Vermont in 1987 with a double major in French and Political Science, and studying International Relations at L’Institut Européen des Hautes Études Internationales in Nice, France, David’s career has focused on public-private partnerships to increase the availability and use of life-saving products and services related to maternal & child health, HIV/AIDS and malaria. He has become a thought leader in public-private partnerships for health and sustainable development and has contributed to many publications on these topics, provided Congressional testimony, appeared on CNN, and is a frequent guest speaker at international conferences and meetings. David has spent nearly 10 years living overseas and has worked in over 50 countries. He also studied Global Strategic Management through the Harvard Business School’s Executive Training Program and is fluent in French. His undergraduate studies at UVM and cross-cultural experiences while living abroad have played a major role in positively impacting his career trajectory.
