As autism has become a growing focus of public dialogue, policy discussions, and federally supported research, UVM faculty are playing an important role in shaping inclusive, community engaged approaches to understanding and supporting autistic people.

The UVM Autism Collaborative is an interdisciplinary group of autistic and non‑autistic researchers, clinicians, students, caregivers, and community members. Our team is committed to coordinating research efforts and prioritizing the autistic perspective in research. Our work emphasizes research and practice that centers autistic voices and brings together perspectives from across disciplines and lived experiences.

This FAN event invites UVM faculty members to learn about the Collaborative’s current research, network building efforts, and approach to interdisciplinary, community-engaged scholarship. Participants will also be invited to share feedback on research needs, desired supports, and ways in which this university-wide collaboration strengthens autism research across UVM and Vermont.
