Lushanya Echeverria, EdD, is an educator, spiritual leader, storyteller, teacher advocate and author. Drawing on the inherited strengths of her Lakota traditions and values, Lushanya bridges her professional education training with traditional Native American pedagogy. Lushanya embodies a sacred responsibility to connect traditional Indigenous teachings with the teachings taught to the dominant culture.
Lushanya will discuss the importance of Indigenous Peoples Day as well as share some ceremonial practices!
Located in the Mosaic Center for Students of Color at 4:30pm on Tuesday October 15th!
