A Sheaf Theoretic Approach to Near Space Network Modeling

with Tobias Timofeyev

Lafayette Hall, Room 102.

Abstract: Hypergraphs more faithfully represent the communication structure of near space satellite networks. Previous work has described a pathfinding sheaf defined on simple graphs, with application to routing over the near space network. We present an extension to hypergraphs, and explore the changes that occur in the generalization to the hypergraph topology. This serves as an introduction to sheaves on combinatorial structures, and elucidates local to global dependencies on a general set system.
