Claim the Lane: Becoming Roxy tracks the story of Roxy Bombardier, an Iraq veteran amateur cyclist who confronts a transphobic past and risks her closest relationships to come out and be her true self at age 51. This feature documentary is a humanizing character study of Roxy’s growth, grit, and love for community as she decides to live the second half of her life as a woman, while training for Vermont's most grueling gravel race. During a time when transgender storylines are rarely deeper than a politicized headline, Claim the Lane spotlights the universal choices and conflicts of seeking truth in ourselves and our relationships— struggles shared by everyone, regardless of identity.
