 M\, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology and inn
 ovation strategies until his retirement in October 2008.\n\n \n\nDuring hi
 s time at IBM\, Mr. Donofrio held various significant positions\, includin
 g Vice Chairman of the IBM International Foundation and Chairman of the Bo
 ard of Governors for the IBM Academy of Technology. His responsibilities s
 panned diverse areas\, encompassing IBM Research\, Governmental Programs\,
  Technical Support & Quality\, Corporate Community Relations\, and Environ
 mental Health & Product Safety. Additionally\, he oversaw the senior execu
