About this Event

#UVM-3MTUVM is hosting a Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition for PhD Students this April. The 3MT concept started in 2008 at the University of Queensland, Australia and has taken off all around the globe. The idea is basic and compelling - PhD students present their research to a general audience in three minutes, using just one slide.
It’s an amazing opportunity for students to explain their research in a concise, accessible way and to learn about other research happening across the community. Placing in a 3MT Competition is a great CV booster too!.
To choose one CEMS student to compete at the UVM 3MT Competition, CEMS will host its own competition and will award three cash amounts to the winner ($500), 1strunner up ($300), and 2nd runner up ($200). The winner will be invited to compete at the UVM 3MT Competition.
The CEMS 3MT will be held on Wednesday, March 25 in Innovation E432 starting at 1 pm.
