​​​​​​Join City of Burlington arborist V.J. Comai for a walk-and-talk about one of UVM’s most glorious features – its trees! V.J. is a certified arborist and a UVM alum (’88). He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the UVM Dept of Plant and Soil Science with a concentration in Community Forestry and Horticulture. He was the manager of South Forty Nursery in Shelburne for 20 years and also worked for Bartlett Tree Experts before joining the City of Burlington as the city’s arborist. V.J. will describe the tree and shrub collections on the green and surrounds as time allows, providing recommendations of tree species suitable for home landscapes. Please dress with a walking tour, rain or shine, in mind. Meet at the University Green fountain to start the walk.
