The Andrew Harris Legacy Reception is an annual event honoring Andrew Harris, the first African American graduate of the University of Vermont. It recognizes UVM community members whose work has inspired lasting impact in advancing equity, academic excellence, and access within the university community.

This year, we recognize the contributions of Dr. Jackson and Lydia Clemmons, and present the Dr. H. Lawrence McCrorey Award, a tribute to those shaping a more engaged and just campus environment. Guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary brunch and live music by Jenni Johnson and the Junketeers, creating space for reflection, connection, and celebration.
